Defending Planet Earth involves navigating five distinct shooter stages. Players pilot a ship through Astro Battles to block incoming bombs, dodge swooping ships in Laser Attack, and survive Subquark Torpedoes. The gameplay culminates in a final mission to demolish the all-powerful Flagship to trigger a massive neutronium explosion.
