Joe Musashi navigates five missions to rescue kidnapped children from the Zeed organization. Players use shurikens, melee attacks, and screen-clearing ninja magic to fight through stages guarded by sword-throwing enemies and gunmen. Rescuing all hostages within a stage is required to progress, eventually leading to boss confrontations at the end of each mission.
