Kage utilizes a kodachi shortsword and unlimited shuriken to fight through forests, secret passageways, and castle walls. Collecting crystal balls changes the character's clothing color to grant increased speed or larger projectiles, while also providing a buffer against death. Players navigate these environments to rescue Princess Kiri from the warlord Yoshi across changing seasonal stages.
