Sonic and Tails navigate gravity-defying loop-de-loops and corkscrew speedways across various Zones. Players use the Spin Dash mechanic to build momentum for rapid traversal and utilize Power Sneakers to increase running speed. A two-player co-operative mode allows a second player to control Tails while navigating bumpers and springs to collect the seven Chaos Emeralds.
