Pikachu follows the player character on-foot throughout the Kanto region, serving as a constant companion. Players navigate turn-based battles against eight GYM Leaders and collect various Pokémon species to evolve them. Instead of selecting from three starters, you begin the journey with a wild Pikachu provided by Professor Oak to build your team.
